1. Tell me about yourself. Keep your answer work related and to the point. Focus on the strength and qualities the company is looking for and prepare accordingly. 2. What is your greatest strength? This is the best question where you can have the hold. Highlight the strengths which are required for this position. Again keep it relevant to the work area only. 3. What is your greatest weakness? This is a tricky question. Pick a weakness which does not challenge your job competency. Try not to play the idealistic role and sideline the question. 4. Why do you want to work for us? At this question you should show interest in the company for which you are giving interview. You should have some prior knowledge about the history and recent achievements of the company. You can talk about the work culture, location, timings and other relevant plus points. 5. Why are you leaving or have left your job? Here you can again offer the kind of challenges you are looking for. You can be honest in case you really faced any problem in your last company. Don’t give casual reasons like “I’m bored” or “Need a change” kind of answer. 6. Why do you want this job? Your seriousness for this job profile is the parameter to be judged here. You should be aware of the culture, achievements of the company and try to convince that you are looking for a long term career here. 7. How do you handle stress and pressure? Highlight your positive qualities. Don’t claim to be a perfectionist. 8. Describe a difficult work situation / project and how you overcame it. Have a good success story already in mind for you. Be specific and concise on this question. 9. Where do you see yourself in five years? Ambition is good but do not get on cloud nine and narrate an imaginative and over optimistic scenario. 10. What are three things your former manager would like you to improve on? Keep it real but avoid mentioning any serious flaw in this question. 11. Tell us about an accomplishment you are most proud of. It is best to stick to a professional example. Provide numbers where possible. Stick to the qualities they are looking in you. 12. Do you have any question to ask? Never avoid this question by saying a ‘No’. Focus on the company and your role in the company. You can flaunt the research you did for the company and your passion for this job.
